Diary entry

Hi I would like to share this piece of writing with you. I am quite proud of it.

“Hello and welcome to Johnson future talk show.”
“I am Mr future and I will be reading to you a diary I found under Ayah Musaad’s  house”

“Dear  Diary,                                                              

Today I walked to school. Whenever I walk to  school I seem to have a good day. It is marble season at the moment and i like to play marbles. This morning we had maths and it was awesome because we only had to make graphs. In the second block we got to watch our production that we did last term it was Cinderella and Rockerfella it was awesome, but sadly the bell rang before we could finish watching the movie. At lunchtime i had jump jam we have a comp coming up in Tauranga. It was quite tiring but is was ok..In the afternoon we had athletics rotation. Our first activity was hurdles, our second activity was long distance and our last activity was shotput. When we did warming up we had to do wheelbarrow races and piggy backs. I went with Bella in a pair.It was actually really fun. After school even though i was super exhausted i walked home. When i got home i ate some crackers then i rung my friend bella.

“ Now some of us including me do not know what some of these things are so i will now be interviewing mr Hoffren   who knows a lot about 2016. So mr hoffren   what is jump jam?”  “Oh well jump jam is something that a lot of children did when they were at school. Jump jam is like dance like hip hop but instead the moves were much sharper and more defined. Also jump jam is kids aerobics. So there was obviously a competition and she would have been in a group.” “Ok so thanks for that but what is athletics rotation?” “Oh I thought that question was going to come so when their athletics at their school was coming up they do athletics rotation. Which is when they practice three different athletic sports each week.” “Thank you for that mr Hoffren. Now does anyone have any questions. Okay what is your question?” “Was it cool or something to ring your friends after school Mr Hoffren?.” “Yes it was.”

‘Do you guys think this is very fascinating finding a diary from 1ooo years ago. I will put this up in the local museum. I'm sorry to say today i do not have ant more time to keep reading other pages. See you next week on the johnson future talk show.

Taking action

I am posting about our taking action. You will soon find out what we did.

Last term we were learning about the environment and we had to come up with a plan to help the environment. My group decided to do a clean up the beach day but that got changed to a clean up the street day. So we all had different jobs to do to help organise it. My job is to help Kyra write the notices that need to go home to parents. We are doing a clean up the street day because all the rubbish left on the street gets blown into the drains and the drains lead to the water. If the rubbish goes into the sea then it will pollute the sea and the animals will choke and die. To actually make this work we had to take steps: 1 We had to sit as a group and work out what jobs we had. 2 We had to assign the jobs to people. 3 We had to start doing our jobs. 4 We have to do the clean up the street day ( which we haven't yet done).

My highlight was knowing that we are helping the animals.

Banana coloured pith

Here is one of my poems I have made. Try guess what I am writing about. It is called Banana coloured pith.

The textured round consistency sitting there with its butter and pineapple skin staring me in the eye. My tastebuds tingling.

With a sour smell drifting to my nose. The soft squishy rough skin tempting me to eat it. It has a banana coloured pith on the outer a of the blonde flesh. The sweet tangy flavour steals my taste buds. The sweetness bursts at my tongue finally chomp it .….delicious

Theme park builders

This is some writing I think is quite good and is quite persuasive. So here it is. Hope you like it :)


Dear theme park builders,

Surely you would believe that it is disgraceful that you are cutting down trees just for a theme park. Trees help us breathe, animals depend on them and they attract tourists.

Research shows that we need trees because they provide us oxygen. It is certain we need oxygen. Notably in summer they provide us shade. Everybody knows that for some people trees are their shade and they also get their food from the trees.

Of course another reason is New Zealand is known for its greenery. New Zealand has a lot of nature and trees. Furthermore tourists come here to see it. Although tourists pay to see it the money gets used for good things. A sensible idea would be to grow more greenery.

I feel that we shouldn't cut down trees because animals live in the trees and if we cut down the trees we will be destroying their habitat. In addition to that animals also collect food from trees then they won't have any food to eat therefore they will die. An intelligent person like you would know that the food chain will get messed up if they die!!!!!

So please don't cut down the trees for a theme park. The fact is trees provide, shelter, food,tourists,greenery and animals. Overall these are the reasons that I think these plans should not go ahead.
