Jump jam nationals
In term 1 there were auditions for jump jam. I thought I would get it in because I got in last year. There was lots of auditions for the final senior jump jam team. I didn’t…….. get cut. Which means I made the team!! I was so happy because some of my friends made the team as well.
Last term we had a routine to send to the jump jam judges. We sent that because we want to perform in Auckland at nationals. We worked really hard on our routine so that we can got to nationals. We had lots of practices and put lots of effort in.
I am soooo excited that we got in because I have never been to nationals I have only been to regionals last year when we went to Tauranga and came 3rd.
Each year the judges look at all of routines that get sent in and choose the best routines that get to go nationals or regionals. One year it will be Regionals then the next year it will be nationals… and so on. They judge it from every little detail, right from head to toes. They make sure everything is insinc. Every second year is nationals and every other year is regionals.
I am thrilled that we get to perform on the stage! I am not so happy about the CAR ride to Auckland though. This year our coaches get to choose some people to audition for the next jump jam video with Brett Fairwether. I hope I get chosen for that!

Bike Safety!
Over last week and this week we had four sessions of bike safety. The first session we learnt how to check our bikes properly by learning our ABC’s (Air, Brakes, Chain) . We also learnt how to put a helmet on correctly. We didn't really enjoy that bit because we didn't do any actual biking.
The second session we biked around the quad girls biking one way and boys biking the other. We had to pretend that we were on the road and we had to start using our hand signals. It was kind of easy because i do it quite a lot. That was a bet more fun than the first session because we were actually biking.
The third session we did roundabouts and intersections. We learnt how to use our hand signals all the time and getting used to riding with one hand. We learnt who to give way to. We had to do lots of practicing before we went on the road ride. Lots of people were nervous but i wasn't.
The fourth session was the ROAD RIDE! Most of us were really excited. I was! We did have lots of stops tho and that was really annoying. We watched other cars and bikes to see if they were doing the right thing. Surprisingly most of them didn't do the right thing. When someone did something right we all clapped and they stared at us.:)
It was super fun. I wished we could go round one more time without stopping.

Mud run
As I attempted to get in the mud I realised you have to just slide down the steep hill because there was nothing to hold onto and it was super slippery. When I first landed in the mud I thought it was disgusting but then I got used to it.
I ran through the thick mud as fast as I could, although I felt like I was only moving as fast as a snail. Then I stopped so I could go through the deep bit. It was up to my shoulder. I was nervous because of the depth and it was already challenging enough.
Then Fran's dad (James) threw mud at my face. I couldn't believe it, how dare he? I didn't retaliate but I wanted to.
I pushed myself through the rest until I got to the hardest part where the teachers had to help. The line was huge and when it was my turn I fell. Jamie's stepdad, Liam, had to pull me through it. The mud was super thick and deep. When I had been pulled through that, the mud was only up to my ankles so I could actually 'run' through it like the name Mud 'run'.
It was so fun that I decided to do it again. After I finished the second round I had to climb up the hill to get to where everyone else was and it was really difficult because there was lots of mud and there was nothing to hold on to so you had to run up it!(I kept slipping down and nearly pushing other people down.) At the end we took a group photo.
I loved it if i had another chance to do it I definitely would.

Who will my teachers be 2017?
I'm walking in the back entrance of CSNS with my heart beating like a racing car (hoping i'm with my friends).... Finally i'm here next to the revealing sheets of paper.
Yay im in Miss Gordons class with Mr Robertson, Mrs Dennison and Mrs Liddell, but do I have friends in my class? Oh no! I have a feeling i'm not with my friends. Surely i should have at least one of my three best friends. “Okay keep reading Ayah I tell myself.” No! No! No! No! No! Im at the end of the paper and I have none of my best friends in my class. They are in the same class without out me.
I was in shock! I kept checking the list to see if it was real. It was and I started to get upset. I wonder how this year will go….. I thought.
Fast forward 1 week and I am feeling pretty excited about how this year will go. Since I have made new friends hopefully I will have a good year with them. I still go and see my other friends at lunch and morning tea.
